Ascent Trip ReportThe end of my 4 highpoint day in NYC. Got off the subway at Fulton Center and walked down to the obvious national monument. It was a bit disappointing there was not more historical information to see - at least all I saw was a tiney section of wall left over from the 1700s but it was pretty darn small. Thought I might run over and see the statue of liberty but I missed the last ferry (after 3:30 PM) so I walked back uphill to the hotel. Next time on business I will have to go check out the other islands. The ferry cost to go to the statue is stiff around $18. Ouch. |
