Ascent Trip Report

Mark and I drove 4.5 miles pass the Palen Pass/Arlington Mine road junction, parking 1.35 miles short of the 4x trailhead. A high clearance 4x is required once past the junction because the first 2.7 miles of the road are extremely sandy in places, and the last 1.8 miles of the road are extremely rugged and rocky; I should have stopped and parked my Tacoma sooner. We followed DPS Route B to the summit via a saddle and the west ridge, then descended via Eric Kassan's route, which would make for a better assent route.
