Ascent Trip Report

I wanted to go snowshoeing and bag a peak at the same time. This one is a pretty simple hike and great for snowshoeing. One thing I didn't account for was that there were bow hunters EVERYWHERE on Black's Creek Rd. Luckily I didn't see any on the mountain itself.

I had a little trouble finding the trailhead as it is unmarked and visibility was next to nothing. I actually missed the turnout and drove all the way to the Boise River Canyon before turning around. Once crossing the road and finding the trailhead it was a simple, short hike. The weather (15 degrees) and snowshoes made it a little more challenging, but still quite simple. Unfortunately there were not any views of the mountains or valley from the summit as it was foggy and snowing.
