So, back I went!
I had come down with a bit of the dreaded "revenge" from the jugo de naranja at Mama Espinoza's in El Rosario and was not feeling all that great. After a roadside pullout puke session, we were on our way to the drive up summit of Cerro Bola. This ascent would be made in shorts and flip flops! We could not find a register or cairn on top, but we thoroughly covered the high ground (which was brushy and enjoyable in flip flops!). We took a quick pic on top and made the rough drive back down. I had previously driven my Toyota Yaris to the helicopter pad just below the summit in 2012. This time around, I was certainly grateful to have the truck to speed up the drive!
