Ascent Trip ReportFinding the trailhead took a little bit of effort. The trail is not well marked and a number of the dirt roads in the area lead to private property. There is a small sign on a post near the end of the access road indicating that the Oak Grove Trail is up ahead. I parked at the turnout below the water tank rather than drive up.
The actual trailhead is below the water tank and has a sizable blank sign next to it (it's complement further up the mountain has the name of the trail written on both sides.) I missed the trailhead, because the shortcut from the turnout to the water tank does not go past the trailhead, you have to walk a few feet back down the road. I saw what I believed was the trail (signage had been poor thus far), but was actually a heavily used use trail. The use trail does eventually put you out on the fire road, but it adds at least an extra mile or two.
Once on the fire road, the route to the summit is unambiguous.
