Ascent Trip ReportMDC run from Taff's Well - 12 people. I hadn't run since the last MDC run up Pen y Fan nearly a month ago due to an ensuing knee injury incurred at Cardiff Central station while running to catch a train. I no longer do that. Anyhow - really cool route, midweek in the darkness - we went up to a hilltop overlooking a massive quarry that was quite impressive, then descended back down through Pentyrch, and up "the Garth" ... I had been once before on my county highpointing quest so it was really cool to re-visit it at night. Very muddy and windy - classic Welsh fell running style... this is the real deal! I really enjoyed this run and this peak with a great group.
With running, there is always a sense of freedom grounded with an appreciation for the ability to do so.
