Ascent Trip ReportAfter crossing over North Twin, the 1.3 mile hike and ascent to South Twin was relatively easy. The weather had gotten progressively worse as our hike progressed and unlike North Twin which is not above tree line, South Twin was exposed to the full brunt of the wind, snow and ice. The trail markers were, at this point, iced over and we had to scrape away the ice in order to read them to ensure that we followed the proper path. We were fairly certain anyway (we did have our maps with us) but you don't want to leave anything to chance.
