Mount Ellen (as seen from Mary Ellen) 11,522 ft, Garfield County Highpoint.
Drove past Hanksville and started on the long dirt roads up into the Henry Mountains toward Bull Creek Pass. However, only made it to within a mile of the Pass due a big snowdrift blocking the road. Had thought about ramming the drift to power through, but there was chance the drift could've kicked me to the downhill side and either slid me or rolled me off the narrow road, down into a chute. So, discretion being the better part of valor, opted to just walk-off the extra mile to the trailhead.
Once arrived at Bull Creek Pass Trailhead, it was basically just a low angle ridge run to the Garfield County Highpoint of Mount Ellen. I was feeling good, so decided to go another extra mile to Mary Ellen Peak, the more conical classic peak shaped of the two. Besides the name sounded cool. Love the panoramic views from all these highpoints. (I know, I know, master of the obvious, but I think that's one of the reasons I'm hooked on peakbaggin' =))
