Ascent Trip Report

The trail starts about 300ft down the road, and is easily seen going up and left of the false summit. There, several trails branch in different directions; keep going north on the one that stays about the same elevation. The next major peak is the one, and has the benchmark stamped DANTE.
Good views down into Death Valley from Badwater Basin up to the Furnace Creek area. Through a couple gaps in the Panamint Range, you can see the top of a few Sierra peaks around Mt Williamson and Split Mtn. Charleston Pk and the Spring Mtns near Las Vegas stood out to the east.
