Ascent Trip ReportWanted to red-line Smarts Brook Tr. Sort of confusing at first because of signage for a xc ski trail. While hiking up the road segments, kept hearing something motorized behind me. I figured it was a dirt bike, but for whatever reason, it never caught up to me. I did have a dalmation run up the road behind me. After hanging out for a couple of minutes, he took back off down the road. So I hope he was a part of those motorized noises. When I got to the higher elevations, I saw that Sandwich was in the clouds. Knowing that it would rain at some point in the afternoon, I decided to save myself the 1.2 miles, and turned around upon reaching the junction of Smarts Brook Tr with Sandwich Mtn Tr. |
