Ascent Trip Report

The traverse from Crazy, over this peak and to Iddings is wonderful. The ridgewalk on Iddings is the most exposed second class I have been on. Its nearly sidewalk quality rock, but with some large drop-offs only a foot to either side. There is a touch of 4th class to get to Iddings peak this way depending on snow levels. Warning, descending to pear lake is beautiful, but the gorge below holds snow late into the year and an ice axe would usually be a handy thing to have here as otherwise it plummets into the roaring creek abruptly and there are not a lot of other escape options.
