Ascent Trip ReportA service road walk .... 1.4 miles, 55 minutes RT.
I came here armed with Fred Lobdell and Don Desrosiers's TRs, with no plan to enter a TR. However after visiting the summit I found things to be somewhat different than those reported so I thought I would add my two cents. For the directions to the summit see the forenoted TRs.
The reports make reference to 2 candidate high point areas, however I found one only candidate, and that being at the area of the PB coordinates close to the 3rd FAA Facility. The boulders northwest of the 2nd FAA Relay Tower are, according to my check, lower in elevation.
There is no obvious HP, I walked the whole area to ensure my spot, unfortunately forgetting to take a GPS reading.
The cattle were quietly resting at the very northeast end of the grass pasture, away from my work area, it appeared that they had their fill for the day and didn't pay me no mind. However, their freshly dropped land mines where all over the place.
