Ascent Trip ReportWe tried the nearby house for permission to access the field where the two contenders were. The people in the ranch house on the west side of the road told us to go to ask the people harvesting on Nebraska 9 that we had just driven by. The older gentleman watching the operation from his pickup said that he owned the field and that we could go to the highpoint. We drove back over and to the southern point. I wanted to get some kind of a hike out of it, so I ran to the other point while Dick drove over. As is typical in Nebraska, the land slowly dropped to the east, so that was where the best view was.
