Ascent Trip ReportLots of difficult route finding to our campsite at Star Lake. Things only got worse on the ascent as far as figuring out where to go looking at our maps and Conner's Bulgers List book. Great weather till most way up talus ridge heading toward the summit. Storm came in fast and hit us with sideways rain, 35-45mph winds and engulfed the mountain in clouds. We were going to bag Courtney Peak as well but were forced down back to camp. We headed out the next morning as the weather didn't improve at all. We actually were rained on quite heavy for 7 of the 10 miles out to the TH. |
