Ascent Trip Report

Had the awful realization that it'd been a week of me living in the park and not going on any actual hikes or bikes...that hurt me down deep, so after work (my only non-double of the week), I changed quick, grabbed a headlamp and my phone, and took off up the mountain. Ran most of the way to the top and really enjoyed the summit ridge since it was so open and displayed the magnificent orange and pick sunset over Penobscot. At the summit there were two dudes laying down making out and having a moment so I backtracked the ridge and posted up to watch the sunset. Called a couple of people and then made my way down in the dark. Its really hard to hike down these trails at night!
