Ascent Trip ReportIt wasn't a good idea to take my Honda Civic on the dirt (pipeline/mining?) roads to get to the road up to the Point, nor was it a good idea to drive it along the road to the Point itself, and I cringed every time I heard the stiff underbrush scrape on the belly of my car, but I was left with the choice of not continuing on or getting chased by bison on foot, so I chose to plug my ears. I was definitely in the plains, and I did see bison off in the distance; I imagine sunset would have been nice from here, but I was too choked up about having to pay $3 to scrape my car up that half-mile road to fully appreciate the spot. Probably not a HP I would bother with again, but... check! US-State HP #9 |
