Ascent Trip Report

Late TR: We approached from the SW. Going N and then E towards the peak on solid roads. At some point, you enter Weyerhaeuser land. A permit, which I believe cost $200 at the time is required for this. With the permit, you gain access and a gate key. Ken was able to get his vehicle up to the final switchback on the road at 3720' which is now the end of drivable road. Not sure if this was generic car drivable, but for sure no worse than high clearance 2WD. From there you walk the abandoned road to the end just W of the peak. Maybe a hair S. Continue up through I think modest brush to the top which does have a drop-off on the E. After hitting the ridge, we turned left North and tagged the top. No real issues. I recall it as a bit of brush but nothing that is an issue. Could conceivably be a lame roadwalk from the Weyerhaeuser gate, but again, you'd need to look at Weyerhaeuser's rules for access.
