Ascent Trip ReportNoel and I packed a rope and small rack to climb Huckleberry in a day from Snoqualmie Pass. The forecast was for partly sunny, but we ran into a whiteout and rain pretty much from the start around 5am. We ditched the climbing gear under Huckleberry and headed for Chikamin as a consolation prize since neither of us wanted climb Huckleberry on wet rock. The was my second time up Chikamin, but I had done it from the East side in much better conditions. With the terrible visibility we tried one gully that that didn't work and then made the ridge at the start of the summit block on our second try. Ran into a few people we knew who had come in via the Mineral Creek TH as a day trip as well. A long trip/walk back to the pass, tagged Alaska on the way by. About 13 or so hours C2C.
