Ascent Trip ReportThis is number 88 in my quest for the doing the highpoints of all 280 parks in the California State Park System. This one has been on my radar for a couple of years.
We parked at the parking area near the boat ramp. We walked clockwise around the reservoir the water exit to the aqueduct. A hundred further is a bridge to cross so that you are able to walk on the west side of the reservoir. Near the water's edge you will need to step through a gate. You then follow a over grown dirt road with many stickers plants and grasses. Continue to follow this around two inlets. The road rises here and you can walk through the grass to the obvious highpoint. There are some rocks at the top. Not a particularly spectacular view except for maybe all the wind turbines.
You now have a choice on how to return...either the way you came or continue to follow the reservoir around clockwise. I did not do that, so you are on your own.
