Ascent Trip Report

So, point of contention with this one: Map says "Greywolf Mtn (7,218)." Peakbagger says "Gray Wolf Ridge (7,218)." Which is the correct spelling? Grrrr.... #firstworldproblems

Anyway, we climbed (and logged) the correct peak - the county high point. Sam G was excited to bag a WA CoHP because it is a list that he cares so greatly for! We made a nice loop hike out of this one after discovering a road that took us to Mueller Creek at 3,200 vs the Dungeness River at 2,500. We snagged all the peaks along the ridge, logging only the ones with names or 300' of prom. A great trail starts right at the parking area going straight up towards Tyler Pk, dwindling above treeline. A use trail follows the ridge for the most part, and another use trail was gained on the descent, leading us right back to Mueller Creek and the car. Pretty great, and none of it was on the map! Pics
