Ascent Trip Report

I processed the LiDAR for Mills County with these results:
Area 1: 1344.68'
Area 2: 1342.00'
Area 3: 1347.02'
The numbering reflects the order. Area three is the highest, which specifically is the contour off Pease Road at N40.95525 W95.75922.

I took I-29 and exited for Glenwood, then took L45 south from Glenwood. This is part of the Loess Hills Scenic Byway and is a really pretty drive. I then turned off on Pease Road which is gravel. I passed an overlook that was designated in honor of Chief Waubonsie, although it looked strangely private. However, I could see the Omaha sky scrapers from the road on this hazy day. I turned into drive number 64620 and found no one home. The highest spot was in mowed grass north of the driveway. On the way back I followed the Loess Hills Byway through Glenwood which was a leisurely drive and also scenic, but Pease Road has the best views.
