Ascent Trip ReportFirst vehicle to arrive, left the parking lot at 8 am, returned 3:26 later. Nice gradual hike to Starr King and then a very short "mile" to the cairn at Waumbek. Met a fellow hiker at Waumbek and we walked back to Starr King together, then he wanted to trail run back to catch the Pat's game. The fog and dampness made the forest look like a magazine picture from the Pacific North west. This would be a great hike for a new hiker or a spouse that just isn't into the more demanding hikes. Views are limited.Trail was damp butnot soakedby previous evening rain storms.
