Ascent Trip ReportWe launched our kayaks from the boat ramp in Minge Cove, due south of Rattlesnake Island. This is a private boat facility, but since we just had kayaks, they were nice enough to let us launch, as long as we didn't park on their property. Then we paddled across the surprisingly choppy waters to Rattlesnake Island. Once we landed on the island, we set out hiking, following various paths, plus some light bushwhacking, and then found a blazed trail once we neared the top (don't know where it starts). Great view from the rocky summit. This island is a small mountain on the lake.
