Ascent Trip ReportKyle and I did this hike right out the front door, walked up to the TH at Lost Lane, hiked up the Saxson Creek trail which is used primarily by mountain bikers, took that up to 8700 feet before going cross country up to Peak 9450, which had an awesome class 3 thin summit rock. This peak should be on some sort of list, as it had expansive views. We then descended down to 8750 feet, the saddle between Peak 9450 and 9020, and then made the easy hike up to the top, stopping by the marked PK 9008 and the labeled "Shaft" on the TOPO which was an old mine, we then went cross country down to where we connected back to the Saxson Creek trail around 8200 feet. This was a fun hike, but got better when we saw a mama bear and her cub out looking for food around 7,000 feet elevation. RT was 13.6 miles, about 3500 feet of gain, front door to front door. TR will get posted HERE
