Ascent Trip ReportOn the way home to New Jersey from Boston, I made a detour to nab this high peak.
From Boston I took I-90 West to I-395 South and exited at CT route 101 and proceeded East for about 5.5 miles, crossing into R.I.
Parked right across the street from the trailhead in a dirt parking area on Route 101. Crossed the street and entered at the sign. Hiked all of about 5 minutes to reach the high point. The trail is soft, flat and easy to follow. I Signed the register that is in the ammo box, took some photos and walked out. All in all, about 15 minutes (and I took my time).
Unfortunately, I wasn't hungry so I didn't get to check out the nearby town, I just hit the road. |
