|Ascent Type:||Unsuccessful - Turned Back|
| Elevation:||3000 ft / 914 m|
Ascent Trip ReportMountain bike from car to otter falls: 1hr approx, faster on the return. Attempted summit via an uncharted route starting at Otter Falls. Initial plan was to climb otter falls (4-5 pitches, 5+ slab). Rainy slippery conditions ruled out slab climb. Instead opted to bushwhack via forest ridge to climbers right.
After 2000 odd feet of bushwhacking, brush started to get steep, thick and difficult to travel. Climbing the waterfall canyon was also not an option due to wet conditions. Decided to turn around after some brief exploration of two hidden waterfall pools. Down climbed wet slab for about 500 feet and returned to the forest to descend the rest of the route, with a couple of rappels over steep sections.
Visited and scrambled a bit of Middle Fork falls on return. All in all, a solid day of adventure.
