Ascent Trip ReportThe fourth and final summit as part of a winter traverse of the Juneau Icefield from Juneau to Atlin. Ed Fogels, Scotty Vischer and i skied across pulling red sleds. Took about three weeks and had food kinda figured out (the last day we were down to a half pack of Ed's lifesavers). I lost 20 pounds that trip.
We were quite the celebs in Atlin that evening. Spent the night with Wayne Merry (remember him - first ascent of the Nose?) at his home in Atlin. |
