Ascent Trip Report

Bob Schwab's TR still applies and is all one needs, my reports attempts to update/add detail only where necessary. I numbered the 4 areas a la PB.

AREAS 1 & 2 (two areas in the Grampian Hills).
From the Junction of Drahner/Hosner we went west on Drahner for 200 yards to the first height-of-land and parked, AREA 2 is immediately to the south of the road .... I stomped the rough area to my satisfaction, touching all high ground and called it good, nothing obvious.
We drove west another 100 yards to a second height-of-land and parked, AREA 1 is to the north ..... I checked out the open woods (easy going) and chose my HP at a somewhat obvious spot at 40 yards from the road.

AREA 3 (one area south of Oakwood Road).
3400 Oakwood Road is now signed "Shenanigans Farms". One of 2 ladies cleaning the stable (looked like the owner) gave us permission to proceed.
She smiled, "A few others have been here before, you are more than welcome." I could tell that she had things to do and had no time for small talk.
I walked/climbed the 300 yards to the southeast side of the paddock, then bushwacked south 50 yards to the ridge. I found my HP to the east at about 30 yards (42.86652,-83.21286). The woods are open with dense underbrush full of thorns, not easy.

AREA 4 (north of Pontiac)
Nothing to add here, except to say the obvious HP with a bench has a nice path leading to it from the turn-around on Crest Forest Crescent.

Yesterday I visited Mount Holly and Pine Knob.
