Ascent Trip Report

Starting from the Ruger Trail and Diamond Head Road its about a 1.5 miles to the top. Water fountains and bathrooms just after you pay to enter. Then follow the massive herd of people to the top. To maximize the sightseeing, once you come out of the tunnel go to the right, directly up about 50 stairs; this takes you to the bunker and then to the peak. The website claims 2000 visitors a day and I believe it, if you're looking to get a workout out of this peak you'll have to contend with many tourists meandering to the top. Its a great view and I'm glad I went but probably wont go back.
