Ascent Trip Report

I had some difficulty finding the trailhead and there are a lot of annoying, bumpy, windy backroads to get there. Most of the hike has easy to moderate grades until you come to the Blueberry Ledges. These are quite steep and would be nearly impossible if wet or icy. Especially to get down. The views from the top of them are very nice and look out into Lake Winnepesaukee to the South. The actual summit of Whiteface is in the woods and there is a small cairn. I went back the same way I came since I climbed Passaconaway in the past. On the way down I took the Blueberry Cutoff Trail which was very difficult to follow as there is clearly not much traffic on it. Overall a good, yet challenging hike.
