Ascent Trip ReportThis was the fifth stop on a highpointing trip. We arrived around 9:00 am after spending the night in Rapid City, South Dakota. It was a beautiful day and we had many great views. After reaching the lookout tower on top it took about 20 minutes to find the three different USGS markers. After making our way back down the trail we set up camp at the KOA across the street from the Willow Creek Horse Camp then went to see Mount Rushmore. |
