Ascent Trip ReportWith my friend, Tim Hult.
We started from the Taboose Pass trailhead and took our time hiking up the trail. It starts as a desert hike, and gradually arises through forests of Foxtail Pine, then Jeffrey Pine to the pass at 11000 feet. This is my favorite pass in the entire Sierra - We ended up being hit by huge thunderstorms and spent the day in our bivi sacks - not much fun, and the place where we had camped was flooding quickly, so we had to move. On the second day, we climbed Striped, while Tim climbed Goodale.
