Ascent Trip ReportThis is a fun, short hike from Placerita Canyon Nature Center. You take a .9 mile ascent along the Hillside and Manzanita Mountain trails. Towards the top, a saddle is reached with the northern fork leading to the summit. This is a rather over grown trail and is a bit of a scramble at points. However, this only lasts for about 100 feet to the peak. The views of the Santa Clarita Valley are interesting yet dwarfed by the nearby Los Pinetos Peak.
