Ascent Trip ReportFrom the Kanc Highway hairpin curve, I followed the Hancock Notch and Cedar Brook Trails, and then began a long off-trail loop covering East, South, Middle and North Hitchcock, in that order. East Hitchcock is listed on peakbagger as West Hancock (I guess it could go either way). Once I reached the north peak, I dropped down toward the Cedar Brook Trail, and followed the trails south all the way back to the hairpin. If you plan on hiking these peaks, and are expecting an easy day, then let me say that you'll come away disappointed.
I didn't make it to West Hitchcock today, so I'll be back sometime to hike that peak. It looks like there are a couple of interesting ways to approach it.
