Ascent Trip ReportFrom Lake Sabrina, we camped at Echo Lake. Eddie Sudol was on the climb but his crampons kept falling off and we could not be sure that they would be secure on the climb. We did not know which route we were going to take until we had a view of the Col and the small tarn at the base of Haeckel..
We ascended to the Haeckel-Wallace Col and took the ridge north to climb Haeckel, and then back to the Col to climb Wallace. There was a bit of CL4 on the Wallace climb, most likely due to the route we chose - we wanted a bit of a spicy climb.
Then, back to our camp, and hiked out. |
