Ascent Trip Report

I completed Tucker Hill with a nice 5 mile loop hike and then walked down the road to check out Kirk Hill. Based on the aerial it appeared to be private lands. Once obtaining the hill by road there is a place in the right of way (R/W) where you can reach the 200 foot contour and look upon the actual "peak" but all of the property is posted and with heavy security. Respecting landowners wishes I do not to trespass so I instead hiked down the roadway and ventured down a couple of steep road such as Dempsey, Withrow, etc.. and maximized my day of hiking and potential gains. These two hill hikes together allowed me to get about 7 to 8 miles of hiking in and over 600 feet of vertical. But obtaining the actual highpoint of this hill would require permission from the owners and frankly, it is not worth all that effort so I just enjoyed the long day of hiking. Be careful hiking along this roadway, there is very little shoulder but fortunately not many cars.
