Ascent Trip Report

Drove up after a morning ascent of Galdhøpiggen. Turning off Highway 15 at a roundabout we drive up through the village of Vaga and turn R at N61.87813 E9.09736 signposted for Blahoe. The road turns to unpaved with a toll barrier (50 NOK) then a scenic 14km drive to the summit. A little rough but okay in a normal car with care. The road is popular with paragliders: we pass several of the fixed wing variety.

At the summit there's a tall comms tower, but the highest point is a tall cairn (N61.89765 E9.28246, 1625m) a few metres to the NW.

We drive back down and continue to the Snohetta trailhead: we decide to climb the peak after dinner this evening!
