Ascent Trip ReportOld Bridle Path to Greenleaf Hut up Greenleaf trail to Lafayette summit. Across Franconia Fridge Trail to Mt Lincoln, Liberty and Flume, Down Flume Slide trail, meeting up with Liberty Spring trail, Whiehouse trail out to Liberty Springs parking lot
Great Hike with Katherine through Little Haystack. The hike up was great, catching up with Katherine and getting back into the hiking mode trying to figure out different mountains we were seeing. Stopped at the hut before tackling Lafayette. The trip up to Lafayette was great but got really windy at the top. Didn't stay too long so we could get across to Lincoln in the wind. It was an easy trip to Lincoln then stopped for lunch inbetween there and Little Haystack behind a rock(great place) then Katherine went down Falling Waters while I picked it up and trail ran over to Flume with a quick stop at Liberty. It was a great trail through, less windy with tree coverage. Then going down Flume Slide sucked. I lost the trail and bushwacked most of it often slipping and got very frustrated. It was a ridiculously long hike down...never going to do it again!!! Overall a good hike though...just Flume Slide was terrible.
