Ascent Trip ReportBeautiful day! Dropped a car at Houghton's Pond and then hiked the Skyline Trail starting from Shea Rink in Quincy. Sign at the beginning says 9 miles to Blue Hill, but my GPS had it more around 6.2 miles. We hiked up the north side of the Skyline Trail and then hiked down the south side. There is a brass summit marker to the left of the walkway leading to the entrance of the weather observatory. Just over 7.5 miles total trip. Use caution when crossing Rt. 28. There is no crosswalk for hikers to use. |
