Ascent Trip ReportFive of us climbed Mad Wolf and Eagle Plume, then descended southward and camped near beautiful Running Crane Lake. In the morning, we found our way up the ridge to a point far to the east of the true summit of Red. Getting over to the top took about 45 minutes and ended with a cool little class 3 climb. We tracked back east along the ridge, then descended a class 2 scree ramp to the southwest and the amazing unnamed lake (reminiscent of Iceberg) below the summit. From there, game trails led easily to the Dry Fork.
