Ascent Trip ReportMay 1, 2015 starting at Dead Horse Cave northwest of Gooding, we traveled up into Clover Creek and then to the Chalk mine. From there we traveled north on a very interesting Jeep road that came out at Bowman Flat. From there over to the Davis Mountain road and a traverse from the east along the county line to the high point. The half mile hike was fairly easy, but the cairn for the high point is somewhat obscure. Awesome spring day in the Idaho High Desert. Many wildflowers blooming. Continued over Davis Mountain and exited due north to Fairfield through several “locked” gates.
