Ascent Trip Report

Started at trailhead from Road 5897. Patches of snow appeared ~2 miles up the trail. Followed trail 6.0 miles to summit (lost trail a few times due to large patches of snow). Experienced a bit of postholing in the last mile leading up to the summit, as well as some icy patches. Was just wearing trail running shoes but snow/ice conditions were never too slippery, especially with the trekking poles. At summit, beautiful views of Waldo Lake, Three Sisters, and Diamond Peak.
