Ascent Trip ReportSo, I finally made it up to Oregon to pick up my truck and trailer. I planned a longer weekend so that Becca could hang out with me. She planned this hike and it was kind of a surprise for me. A pleasant surprise indeed! The trail had more snow on it that either of us expected. Past Preachers Pk, it was pretty much completely snow-covered. Luckily for us (both in trail running-type shoes), there had been another hiker ahead of us, so we had footprints to follow. The snow never ran more than ankle-deep anyway, so it was more of a nuisance than a problem. We did have wet feet after a while, but it was warm and we kept our stops to a minimum. Overall, a great way to end the weekend before the drive south to California with the trailer in tow!
