Ascent Trip ReportWe started our hike around 0800 with the idea that if it took all day then so be it, we were going to enjoy being outside all day. We looked here on peak bagger and saw that it looked like most routes describe going up a spur that travels Westward out of the dry wash, but since we had gone this way once before, and had become too tired to continue to the top, we decided to look at the map and come up with another way, and that is why I have included the GPS tracks. By walking up the wash, we saved a little energy for the rest of the climb. We still saw a few cairns the way we went, and once we met back up with the more known/hiked route, we saw even more. But it seems that no matter what, looking for the path of least resistance always pays off in the end. The two of us each had a 3L Camelbak and we carried an extra L. at the end of the day we still had 1L left in reserve.
