Ascent Trip ReportThe full Mosedale Horseshoe from Wasdale Head as an Easter Sunday outing for the whole family. Living up to its reputation as one of the most exciting day walks in the Lake District. Wasdale Head - Kirk Fell East Top - Kirk Fell - Pillar Looking Stead - Pillar - Pillar Black Crag - Scoat Fell - Steeple - Red Pike - Yewbarrow North Top - Yewbarrow - Overbeck Bridge. Remarkably warm and sunny with 90% of the snow cover that had been ubiquitous over 700 metres only 3 days earlier now gone. A persistent cloud inversion up to 500 metres meant we hardly saw Wast Water at all, but the views above that were marvellous.
