Ascent Trip Report

This was a little side trip as an adjunct to my main goal to walk up all the way from visitor center (those stats with the Mauna Kea hike trip log) but then stopped short of the summit and hiked down to the W.M. Keck Observatory to meet my wife who was at tour. Then hiked with her back to the saddle hiked up and saw the observatory over at Gemini and then walked back down to the TH and completed the Mauna Kea HP summit with my wife. After completing these goals I allowed her to escort me down by 4 wheel drive to the visitor center. Not a bad deal since the walk up took over 4 hours.
