Ascent Trip ReportVesper and Sperry combo: Access road 4065 to TH was clear of snow and ice. Wirtz basin was mainly snow free up to the point where the steep ascent to Headlee Pass begins. Snow was easy to walk on. Not slushy, nor icy. Ascent to Vesper summit was pleasant. We had June like temperatures. Descending Vesper we traversed the ridge line to the west ridge of Sperry and climbed it. Conditions were perfect for the traverse and climbing Sperry. Sperry had a couple of short sections that required caution. Overall a perfect day with pleasant temperatures. Total time from car to Vesper summit, to Sperry summit and back to car:9.5 hours.
