Ascent Trip Report

One of the worst hikes ever. Whoever said this was an easy bushwhack is on drugs.

Hiked a repeat of Eagle and Big Indian then headed for Fir. The herd path rapidly petered out and it was major brush bushwhacking time. Eventually we got to a valley and in the clear only to have to cross the biggest nettles patch in the universe. There were also a lot of bugs and several cliffs thrown in for good measure.

Made the summit of Fir and decided to do the bushwhack back to the Biscuit Brook lean-to then hike the 7 miles back to the cars as opposed to returning from whence we came. Hiked a lot of this in the dark and made it out to incredible stars on the clear night at 10 pm.

Did 17 miles in 12 hours. Got home at 1 am.
