Ascent Trip ReportThis was the third stop on an 8pt hike.
(See Phil Benchmark trip report for directions/first part) (See Norte Benchmark trip report)
From the saddle between Norte/Phil BM and Cody BM, we worked our way up to the highest bump (sticking a little to the left/north side). Once we reached the first bump, we worked across the ridgeline all the way to Cody. There are a lot of ups and downs; left and rights. The ridgeline of bumps appeared to be the easiest route. We reached the summit of Cody BM. We signed the register; found the remnants of the benchmark but did not find the station disk nor the 2 reference marks. AFter the required photo ops, we returned the same route to the saddle as any different and/or direct route to the next point would have many steep washes and bouldering. The next objective was a section marker on the way to Pike Summit (See Pike Summit
