Ascent Trip Report

I wandered up to the high point past the radio tower to the east and down a road that was posted, although it appeared nobody was around. I could tell by the tracks in the dirt that trucks had been driving out this morning, so I tried to be as discreet as possible. The southern area is in a clearing along a buried gas pipeline easement, and the northwest area is just off an ATV track nearby. There appeared to be two to three residences of some sort in the general area, although I didn't see anyone around. I returned east to my car along the gas pipeline easement, and this was very easy and straightforward. This track can be seen from satellite images, but it is still posted. The area is owned by the Dogwood Hunting Club, out of Plain Dealing, LA. Look them up if you want to do this the legal way, otherwise I recommend not going on a weekend or during hunting season!
